Puppetworks produced this cinematic trailer for Cairos Tale, a 3D tower defence game developed by Fedeen Games. With it, the game succeded to earn its well deserved attention in the gaming world on Apple iOS platforms.

Working closely with our client Fedeen Games, we focused on creating a playful 3D CGI animation from previz to final composite, which resulted in a premium quality cinematic which helped in the successful game launch.

When we kicked off with the project, one of the top priorities was to find ways of engaging the audience with the impactful context of Cairos Tale. Taking a more 3D cartoony approach, the trailer shows what can happen when magic meets sheep as they defend against wolves. By introducing the characters and the setting of the story, the trailer aim was to give a glimpse of the game to its viewers with an emphasis on storytelling, influential framing, memorable compositions, lighting and color scheming. In contrast to soft colours and a playful atmosphere, we added some close-ups, sharp angle changes and quick camera movements to the movie. This also helped us elevate the kinetic experience throughout the whole trailer.
