Puppetworks produced this premium release trailer for the hack'n'slash category action game Stormblades, produced for Danish games development company Kiloo.

Stormblades is set in a land where for centuries young Warriors have sought the secrets of the ruins in a quest to prove their worth. Journey on a Warrior’s rite of passage and fight the legendary Keepers. Players take on the role of the main protagonist who wields a massive sword and heads into ancient ruins to uncover the secrets that lie within.

The trailer shows the protagonist entering the ruin alone and exiting with a rather large secret he’s found: a giant Aztec warrior made of stone. On the production side, we focused on the cinematic direction and of course, high quality output. Kiloo was keen to emphasize the epicness of the hero, which can only be achieved with proper cinematic direction. A great deal of time was spent on planning the shots to achieve just the right level of heroism.

In order to keep the significant look of the game itself, our creative team followed our client's references closely. Getting the models and props done intensively in the asset department, we moved onto implementing them into action. Tight camera shots, the sudden change in lighting conditions and an epic battle fight scene did not only result in an impressive trailer itself but also brought the audience into the world of Stormblades.
