Puppetworks teamed up with Fatshark again to create a stunning cinematic for the release of Warhammer 40,000: Darktide. The trailer is an introduction to the story originally written by the fantastic Warhammer 40,000 author Dan Abnett and features the narration of Shipmistress Brahms.

Warhammer 40,000: Darktide is a 4-player co-op game set in the “grim” universe of Warhammer: 40,000. Taking place in the depths of the Hive City Tertium, players fight waves of enemies, a potential Chaos infiltration, hell-bent on taking control of the entire city.

When creating the trailer, we worked closely with Fatshark and created a storyboard that showcases the dark and dreadful mood Warhammer 40K is known for. Not only were we focused on elaborating the story through the narrator, we also rounded out the arc started in the previous trailer with the Imperial Guards investigating the ruined hive city. The challenge was to create such a feeling that would really entice potential players. We are proud of the final product and may even be justified in this pride based on the reaction to the trailer which garnered more than 1 Million views in its first week.
