Our artists at Puppetworks produced this impressive 2.5D narrative cinematic for King of Avalon, one of the most important strategic mobile games published by Kingsgroup.

King of Avalon is set in a fantasy medieval England bringing back the legend of King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table. The players are given the chance to build their cities, raise their armies and practise war strategy skills. This is enhanced with the tertiary elements of magic dragons, battle strategies and medieval enemies, as the game itself suggests.

We were tasked to create the illustrations in a painted style created with high artistic detailing. We painted the story of King Arthur and his sister Morgana on beautiful image stills, later animated with parallax to give them the feel of animated paintings. With careful execution, and the addition of an original soundtrack, sound effects and a deep voice-over, we delivered the premium cinematic that the client was envisioning.
